All necessary supplies will be provided by LLAR for the duration of time you have the animal(s) in your home. **Once animals are given names, please do not change them. It is difficult for the animals to constantly adjust to new names, and can cause problems with our paperwork.
*
We do not allow our fosters to advertise LLAR animals on Facebook or any other type of social media without direct permission from Melissa, the Director, or Vanessa, the Associate Director.
*
We do not allow meet and greets to be scheduled by the fosters. They must be scheduled through one of the Directors. Meets are almost exclusively done at the Rescue facility in South Nampa.
*
LLAR animals are NOT to leave the foster home without permission from one of the Directors. Foster animals should not have play dates with any animals that do not permanently reside in the foster home to avoid the possible spread of disease. Guests should always wash their hands before and after handling the foster animals. Any medical care or medications/supplements have to be approved by the Directors prior to administration.

If you decide you would like to adopt your foster animal you must go through the same application process as a regular applicant. Fostering does not guarantee you can adopt. If you are considering it, we recommend also doing an application at this time and getting pre-approved to do so. Once approved, fosters have the first option to adopt IF we are informed BEFORE there is an approved application. After we have an approved application, that application has the first option to adopt regardless of the length of time the pet has been in the foster home. So let us know as soon as possible if you have decided you are interested in adopting your foster animal.

Again, thank you so much for your willingness to foster. Small rescues such as Lake Lowell Animal Rescue could not save these animals without the love, care, and dedication of our volunteer fosters. Please be sure to provide us with the answers to these questions and a video of your home. We normally would do in person home visits, but post Covid we are now asking for virtual visits. In your video, be sure to focus on the main living areas, entrance and exit doors, where the animals will be kept, litter box and food areas, etc. If interested in fostering dogs we need to see the yard areas as well. Sometimes the video files are too big for email so feel free to send multiple small videos, or text them to 208-615-2124. Do you agree with these foster rules?
